Kids will love these Easter Bunny gardens which are blooming with chocolate-y egg treats.
You will need:
Garden 1:
Top tip: If you are planning to plant real plants in your pot longer term, make sure you coat the terracotta pot inside and out in Resene Aquapel & Terracotta Sealer before painting your topcoats.
Step one: Paint the pot with two coats of paint in your chosen colour. Leigh used Resene Citrus.
Step two: Attach googly eyes and paint mouth, nose and whiskers using Resene Blackjack.
Step three: Cut a piece of card, draw small and large bunny ears and cut to shape.
Step four: Paint the ears in different colours — Leigh painted the larger ears in Resene Citrus and the smaller ears in Resene Princess.
Step five: Glue the smaller ears onto the larger ears. Tape the finished ears to skewers.
Step six: Place the bunny ears into the back of the pot.
Step seven: Skewer foiled Easter eggs and plant in the pot. Add decorations such as flowers or greenery if you wish.
Garden 2:
Top tip: If you are planning to plant real plants in your pot longer term, make sure you coat the terracotta pot inside and out in Resene Aquapel & Terracotta Sealer before painting your topcoats.
Step one: Paint the pot with two coats of paint in your chosen colour. Leigh used Resene Apple Blossom.
Step two: Once the paint is dry, fill the pot with soil.
Step three: Paint the rocks/pebbles using Resene Concrete. Glue into shape using a large stone for the body, medium pebbles for the feet, and a small pebble for the tail.
Step four: Finish by painting the feet – Leigh used Resene Scrumptious to create the pink paw shape.
Step five: Skewer the Easter eggs and place into the pot. Add fake flowers and greenery to pretty up the garden further.
The left pot is painted in Resene Apple Blossom and the stone bunny is painted in Resene Concrete with Resene Scrumptious for the feet. The bunny face pot is painted in Resene Citrus with Resene Citrus on the outer ears and Resene Princess on the inner ears. The bunny mouth, nose and whiskers are Resene Blackjack.
